Anneliese Neudecker, born in Vienna in 1984, studies set design in Professor Erich Wonder’s master class for scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. She successfully completes her MA in 2006. Following her studies she assisted at numerous productions, including the Salzburg Festival, the Volksoper in Vienna, the Residenztheater in Munich, the Opéra de Lyon, the Berliner Ensemble and the Zurich Opera House. In Munich she creates her own set designs and costumes for the Residenztheater as well as for several independent productions.

From 2011 to 2013 Anneliese Neudecker is head of the set design department at the Residenztheater under the artistic direction of Martin Kušej. While holding this position she works as set designer with the directors Pippo Delbono and Patrick Steinwidder. Anneliese Neudecker further develops a close working relationship with director Katrin Plötner, conceiving and realising sets at the Theater Regensburg, the Nordharzer Städtebundtheater, the Landestheater Niederösterreich, the Theater Augsburg, the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg, the Landestheater Linz as well as the Schauspiel Frankfurt. Other collaborations with directors include Robin Telfer (Theater Regensburg), Martina Gredler (Meininger Theater), Herbert Fritsch (Komische Oper Berlin), Tristan Braun (Bayreuther Festspiele) and 600Highwaymen (Salzburger Festspiele).
